Minute 1: arrive

Before reading, pause long enough to stop carrying the feed, the inbox, or the argument into the page. Put the phone on do not disturb, take one breath, and make a simple intention to seek guidance.

Minutes 2 and 3: read or listen

Read a short passage with translation. If your eyes are tired, listen to recitation while following the translation. Keep the goal small enough that you do not negotiate with it.

Minutes 4 and 5: keep one takeaway

Do not try to capture everything. Save one ayah, write one note, or choose one reminder to carry into the next hour. A habit becomes personal when it leaves a trace.

Questions people ask

Is five minutes of Quran enough?

Five minutes is a starting point, not a ceiling. It is enough to build consistency, and consistency often creates the desire for longer sessions.

Should I read Arabic or English translation?

If you can read Arabic, keep it in the routine. If you are still learning, use translation to understand and gradually add Arabic reading or listening.
