Privacy Policy

Fardeen Mansoori (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the mobile application Aylen (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the App on iOS and other platforms.

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive information such as your name, email address, and profile picture, as provided by those services.
  • Profile and preferences: Display name, avatar, reading/audio settings, notification preferences, and similar in-app settings you choose.
  • User-generated content: Notes, highlights, bookmarks, prayer tracking, quiz progress, and other content you save in the App.
  • AI interactions: Questions and messages you send to in-app AI features (e.g., Zikra AI), and related context needed to provide answers.
  • Support communications: Information you send if you contact us for help.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and activity data: Features you use (e.g., reading, audio, onboarding steps, sessions, streaks, leaderboard-related activity), timestamps, and general interaction data used to operate the App and improve your experience.
  • Device and technical data: Device type, operating system version, app version, language, and similar technical identifiers needed for security, debugging, and compatibility.
  • Session data: Approximate time spent in the App (e.g., focus/session tracking) when you are signed in.

Information from permissions (with your consent)

  • Location (optional): If you allow location access, we use it to show accurate prayer times for your area. You can disable location in your device settings; prayer times may be less accurate without it.
  • Notifications (optional): If you enable push notifications, we use a device push token to send prayer reminders, daily verse reminders, and similar alerts you configure.

Subscription and purchase information

If you subscribe to premium features, Apple processes payment. We receive subscription status and related identifiers through RevenueCat (and our backend) to unlock premium features; we do not receive your full payment card number.

2. How we use your information

We use information to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you.

  • Process and validate subscriptions and restore purchases
  • Send notifications you have enabled
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.
